J channel screw up

Below is a picture of the problem. Simply, I installed .063 angle where the J channel was supposed to go for the stringers. Left aluminum angle shows the angle riveted in place. Right of that shows the J channel that is supposed to be in there.

How'd this happen? Well the plans are not REAL clear, and I was on a roll when I put the wrong pieces in. 6 pieces destroyed. I drilled the rivets out and replaced the angle with the J channel. Structurally the angle was fine and in fact much stronger than the J channel that was supposed to be in there. But the added weight in the rear is not a good thing so I replaced it. UGH!!
