Getting the windshield done

First thing I did was strip the interior and paint the cockpit. There are many pieces to be painted and now is the time before anymore items get into the cockpit. I used a laquer paint, Dupont Nason line. This came highly recommended from a speed shop and i was told it was idiot proof to shoot. Turned out to be a good decision. Everything came out great.

Next comes the glassing of the windshield. A top fairing that overlaps the slider, and a bottom fairing that makes the transition to the fuse. I used 2inch fiberglass tape from aircraft spruce. Regular auto wax for anyplace you DONT want the glass to stick, like the slider overlap for example. Once the glass is laid, many coats of the micro filler (white in the picture) are used to smooth the transitions.
