Painting the dashboard

It is suggested you paint the dashboard a flat black to prevent glare coming off the dashboard. It is easiest to do this when the front windshield is out of the way. Picture to the left shows my first swag at it. Problem I had was the Rustoleum paint would scratch by just running my finger over it. So I had the brilliant idea of thinning some epoxy and putting a layer on top to protect it. See picture to the right.

And Whallah! More glare than you can imagine. I ended up sanding the whole thing off and putting on some spray enamel  from the auto store and that did the trick.

Also this is a good time to paint the cockpit, before you get a whole bunch of stuff in there. So I drug it out to the yard for painting.
